Coach Tom Osborne, or Coach “Oz,” has been with the University of Oregon for 10 seasons and has 30 years of coaching experience. In 2009 the Ducks led the Pac-10 in kick-off returns yards and saw the emergence of freshman sensation Kenjon Barner, who set the school record for kickoff return yardage in a season. In 2008, Coach Oz led the Ducks special teams to another successful season including Patrick Chung being honored as a 1st team All Pac-10 specialist. Coach Osborne has developed 16 All-Americans and 27 all-league honorees over the course of his coaching career. Coach Oz is also credited with coaching the all-time Tight End reception leader at Arizona State, Boise State, and Oregon. Coach Osborne has developed 11 Tight Ends that have gone on to play in the NFL.
In 2008 CBS Sportsline named Coach Osborne one of the Top 5 Tight Ends coaches in the nation. In 2003 Coach Oz was recognized by American Football magazine as Special Teams Coordinator of the Year.

Coach Osborne loves to fish and water ski. When in the office Coach Oz can always be seen enjoying an ice cold Diet Pepsi. While recruiting in southern California, Coach Osborne makes as many stops to In N’ Out as possible. Tom Osborne lives with his wife Monica and his two children, Tyler and Ashley. Coach Osborne’s favorite pass time is watching his kids play sports. Coach Oz’s son Tyler can always be seen visiting the football office in the summer, often times providing helpful recruiting advice for our coaching staff.
A Washington native, Tom Osborne attended Washington State University where he played wide receiver.
